My name is Darcy McNaboe. I have been a resident of Grand Terrace for 18 years, I am a small business owner, I am focused on community service, I am active in the community and I am running for Grand Terrace City Council. I would like to earn your support.

My husband and I have called Grand Terrace home for the past eighteen years. It is a wonderful community that is perfectly located in this growing inland region. To me, serving as a Grand Terrace City Council member would be a natural extension of my commitment to serving my community  and my desire to ensure that Grand Terrace continues to be a wonderful city to live and to raise a family.

Reason for Running for City Council

• Our City has known stability for its 30 plus years
• We are experiencing changes at all levels
• Our City has new people in leadership positions
• We have challenging budget issues in this slow economy
• Our City faces the development of our remaining open space

I'm seeking your support to fill the vacant council seat because I can lead our community through this unsettling period of transition.

My Vision for Our City

• We must ensure our community remains the safest place to live and raise a family
• We must focus on the opportunities before us
• We must plan for better times to come
• We must ensure we are in the best possible position to make the most of future prosperity
• We must all assume ownership and responsibility of our community
• We must build mutual trust and foster open dialog among residents, City staff and elected officials
